Canadian Humanitarian Organization for International Relief (Canadian Humanitarian) is a non-religious, non-political, registered Canadian Charity (#87302 9102 RR0001). We are dedicated to assisting disadvantaged children, their families and communities break free from the cycle of poverty.
Canadian Humanitarian began operations in 1995 under the name Canadian Advocate for African Children, which sought to alleviate the plight of orphaned, abandoned and disadvantaged children through international adoption and humanitarian aid. It became necessary to separate our humanitarian activities from the adoption program, so a separate organization called Canadian Humanitarian Organization for International Relief was founded in 2003. Since this time the projects that Canadian Humanitarian supports has continued to grow as well as the number of children and families that are benefited. In 2008 Canadian Humanitarian obtained charitable status in the U.S. under the name Kid’s Hope Ethiopia.
